What is Sian's Plan?
Sian’s Plan is an online meal planner that is globally recognised as the most innovative digital solution for home cooks. Sian’s plan is about so much more than just food, it's a lifestyle solution to an everyday problem.
Who is Sian's Plan for?
Are you a busy mum who struggles to find the time to cook healthy meals from scratch every day?
Are you trying to reduce the cost of shopping?
Are you throwing away too much food or are you a Mum that craves more time out of the kitchen?
Well Sian's Plan is the answer.
What is Sian' s Plan?
Sian's Plan is a simple colour coded system that organises the family meals for the week, according to your cooking abilities, your family needs, your budget and your time restraints and then automatically creates a shopping list for you. Once you’ve organised your meals for the week you can either shop online here at Siansplan.com via our partners at mySupermarket.co.uk (UK only at the moment) or pop to the supermarket.
How does Sian's Plan work?
The secret to a stress free healthy family is simple; reverse the way you cook.
Sian’s Plan is a colour coded system that encourages you to think about when and what to cook before you shop. By using Sian’s plan it’s easier to control your shopping, optimise your family's health, reduce your food waste, save money and eliminate stress.
What do the colours mean?
There are 5 colours; red, green, blue, white and amber. Each colour represents the way you cook on any given day.
So on a red day you cook one meal from scratch, just like you normally would.
On a blue day you cook more than one meal or cook double the amount. The idea here is to prepare an extra meal so you have a day free from cooking later on in the week.
On a green day you cook from leftovers. The benefit here is that you reduce food waste and save money.
On a white day you don’t cook. You may reheat the extra blue meal or on a special occasion eat out, get a takeaway or even pop on a pizza.
An amber day is for flexibility, you don’t plan meals on these days.
What is the CORE 5 day plan?
The arrangement of these colours throughout the week is where Sian’s Plan is so powerful. Now we’re not just planning meals, we’re planning our lifestyles. Sian’s plan is suitable for all lifestyles.
For those that need flexibility or are just starting their Sian’s plan journey we have a CORE 5 day plan. 4 red days and 1 green day. This gives you peace of mind that you’re family are healthy and you save money at least 5 days a week. The CORE 5 day plan allows for unexpected events like that parent teacher meeting you forgot about.
What if you want to plan for 7 days?
For those more experienced or very well organised the 7 day plan gives you the benefit of healthy eating every day with the bonus of a day off from cooking. There are 4 red, 1 green, 1 blue and 1 white day.
